Harmon H Blaine, 95, of Wood River, passed away at his son’s home in Prairieville, LA under hospice care on February 20, 2022.
He was born April 10, 1926, in Jackson, TN, the son of Julian and Mary Blaine. Harmon was a graduate of Jackson High School and a World War II veteran having enlisted in The U. S. Harmon was known as The Mayor of Kendall Hill to his neighbors and many afternoons and evenings were spent in his yard socializing with any and all who wandered in for the good company. He will be missed by family and friends.
Harmon was preceded in death by his father Julian, Mother Mary, Grandmother Grace Lea, and a son John David Blaine.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Dennis Woods of Medora, IL, and son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Natalie Blaine of Prairieville, La; grandchildren, Rachel, Dennis, Beth, Amanda, Dustin, and Josh; and great-grandchildren Hannah, Cadence, Brayden, Jillian, Adelyn, and Brylee.
