Harlan Boedeker

Harlan G. Boedeker 92, passed away at 5:30 am on June 4, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL.

He was born in Alton on December 5, 1920 to the late Anton F. and Edna (Hoppe) Boedeker.

Harlan married Dorris Dwyer on May 6, 1945 in Alton, Il. She survives.

 

Harlan was employed at the Shell Oil Company as a truck driver for over 30 years. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Alton.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter and her spouse; Jean Marie and Tom Anderson of Butler, IL, a son and his spouse; Michael and Karen Boedeker, of Portage, Michigan, four grandchildren and their spouses; Brian and Penny Boedeker, Brooke Boedeker, Jason and Jen Anderson and Adam and Jacqui Anderson, 10 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Leroy Boedeker.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 10 am untill time of service at 11 am Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL. Rev Randy Fischer will officiate.

Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, IL.
