Gloria Marie Hall, 83, passed away 4:50 am on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Robings Manor in Brighton.
She was born on February 25, 1938 in Pleasant Hill, the daughter of Oliver Curtis and Audrey Marie (Hartsock) Lord.
Gloria was married 63 years to the love of her life, Jack Hall.
She came to Wood River after she graduated high school and worked at Wood River Bank. Gloria also worked alongside her husband at their drugstore in Brighton. She was very active in the community for the Brighton Centennial and Women’s Auxiliary. Gloria received her degree in cosmetology and sold Home Interiors. She found great joy and love in oil painting.
Gloria is survived by her husband; son, Victor (Monica) Hall of Belleville; daughter, Cynthia (Hall) Martin of Rosewood Heights; two grandchildren, Amber Daniels and Matthew Daniels; five great-grandchildren, Haileigh Gram, Gage Hillis, Cadence, Aurelian, and Rhemus Daniels; two brothers, Curtis (Hannah) Lord from FL, and Gilbert (Sandra) Lord from TN; sister, Julie Henderson from TN; and their beloved fur baby, Gina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Donna Lord; and brother-in-law, Ben Henderson.
Gloria was a loving woman who was a blessing to all. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, with Pastor Edward Granadosin officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the 1st United Methodist Church in East Alton.
