Gloria Jean Bell, 69, died at 8:05 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at her residence.
She was born February 14, 1955 in Alton the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Louise (Gleason) Mackelden. She was a member of Faith Lutheran in Alton. On December 11, 1970 in St. Charles, MO she married Carson Dennis Bell and he survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Claudia Price (James) of Godfrey, Terry Bell (Cinda) of Alton, six grandchildren, Alex Price, Cheyenne Price, Dennis Price, Rayann Price, Terry Bell and Christian Bell, five great grandchildren, Micah, Myyah, Mark, James and Kira and one brother, Thomas Mackelden.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Raymond and three sisters, Helen, Florence and Mary Jo.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024. Burial will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Fidelity, IL. Memorials may be made to Burts Shelter Care on Milton Road in Alton.
