Our beloved mother, Gertrude M. (Watkins) Evilsizer, 84, passed away at 6:55 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 at Eldercare Nursing Home in Alton.
Born September 30, 1925 in Alton, she was the daughter of Claude and Grace (Ward) Watkins. She married James Evilsizer in 1971 in Kansas City. He preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters, Jan Tovo, Melinda Tovo and Lori Sowders, two sons, Randy Tovo and Ron Tovo and wife Laura and six grandchildren, David Sowders, Angela Sowders, Joshua Tovo, Chris McElyea, Erin Tovo and Anna Tovo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and a sister.
At her request, there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
