Georgia L. Jenkins, 75, passed away Saturday November 3, 2012, at 12:59 pm, at her daughter’s residence, with her family by her side.
She was born on June 24, 1937 in Godfrey the daughter of Bill and Ellen (Lippoldt) Bricker.
Georgia married Harry Jenkins on June 8, 1963 in Godfrey and he preceded her in death in 1987.
She was a secretary for the Alton Community School District for many years.
Georgia is survived by a son Douglas Jenkins of Godfrey, a daughter Katherine Steward of Carlinville, three grandchildren Emily Steward of Carlinville, Andrew Jenkins of Godfrey, Charles Jenkins of New Whiteland, IN, two great grandchildren Baylea Nickel and Emma Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters Arlene Bricker, Wilma Bricker and an Aunt Laura Lippoldt.
Visitation will be Wednesday November 7, 2012 from 10 am to 1 pm at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton where funeral service will be at 1 pm.
Burial will follow at Brighton Cemetery in Brighton, IL.
Memorials may be directed to the family for funeral expenses.
