Gary W. Buck Jr., 43, passed away at 1:07 pm Monday, September 26, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton.
He was born on July 9, 1968 in Springfield, IL, the son of Gary W. Buck Sr. and Patricia Rae Moore.
He owned and operated GB Research and Development Company. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to fish and deer hunt and was a “Best Friend” to many.
One of his greatest joys was spending time with his daughter, “Maddy”of Jerseyville; he is also survived by his father, Gary W. Buck Sr. and his wife Mary Ann of Alton; one sister, Elizabeth Buck of Juneau, AK; one grandmother, Denna Buck of Springfield, IL; an uncle, Rick Buck of Dawson, IL; an aunt, Madaline Treadway of Omaha, NE; an uncle, John Moore of Champaign, IL and two step brothers, Michael Lehmkuhl of Taylorville and Mark Lehmkuhl and his wife, Amy of Denver, CO
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Rae Buck.
In celebration of his life, a memorial service will be held at 5 pm Friday, September 30, 2011 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey with Rev. Kelly Meddis officiating.
Inurnment will be private at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Madalyn Buck Education Fund, check payable to CNB Bank and Trust FBO Madalyn Buck.
