Gail Darr, 96, formerly of Godfrey, died at 10:15 a.m. at The Grande at Chesterfield. She was born May 27, 1928 in Iowa, the daughter of the late Emery and Clara (Brown) Glenn.
Gail is a member of the North Alton Southern Baptist Church and a member of the Order of Easter Star. On August 8, 1948 in Alton, she married Francis Darr, and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2012.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah LaFleur ( Rev. Steven) of Chesterfield, MO and Diane Valendy (John) of O’Fallon, MO, two grandchildren, Jeremy LaFleur (Lauren) of St. Louis and Eric LaFleur of St. Louis, two great grandchildren, Lydia and Mallory, one brother, Myron Glenn (Nancy) and one sister, Jean Abner and two sisters-in-law, Shirley Glenn and Lucille Glenn.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, Gordon and Roger Glenn and two sisters, Mildred Tipton and Ilene Winters.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Reverend Steven LaFleur will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
