Fern E. Benetti, 96, passed away at 6:00 am Monday, January 24, 2011 at Eden Retirement Center in Glen Carbon.
She was born on October 18, 1914 in Japan, MO, the daughter of Leonard and Emma (Ruwwe) Lambert.
She married Domenic Benetti on July 1, 1942 in St. Louis, MO. He passed away on September 26, 1988.
Fern graduated in the first graduating class at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Alton as a nurse’s aide. She was a homemaker and she did seamstress work out of her home. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines and the Brighton United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Robert and Mary Ann Lambert of CO and Jennifer Harrison and her family of Brighton and her dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Eunice Ehlers and a brother, Earl Lambert.
In celebration of her life, visitation and services will be private.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to 12th Street Presbyterian Church.
