Faye A. Wood, age 85, passed away at 3:48 am Friday July 8, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton.
She was born in Alton, IL on June 21, 1926, the daughter of the late Roy and Blanche (Woods) Wood.
She was a homemaker in the Alton area for all of her life, and a member of the Abundant Life Church in Alton.
She is survived by one sister; Ella Darr of Jerseyville, two brothers: James Wood of Alton, and Paul Wood of Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by; her parents, two sisters; Betty Wood, and Della Wenner, and two brothers; Chester Wood and Robert Wood.
Graveside services will be at 10 am, Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton. The Pastor Roy Rhodes will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice.
