F. Anthony “Tony” Norman, 83, died at 1:20 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 14, 1937 in Alton the son of the late William and Eleanor (Handler) Norman.
He was in the U.S. Air Force Reserves while in high school and he retired in December of 2020 as Vice President for Norman Brothers, Inc. in Alton. On July 6, 1957 in Alton, he married Carol Hamer and she survives.
Also surviving are three children, Douglas Norman (Mari) of San Jose, CA, Ann Robertson (Steve) of Madison, WI and Dr. Jane Norman (Carlos Forjan) of Dyer, Indiana, five grandchildren, Sarah (Cody) Holm of Denver, Kathleen Norman of Chicago, Megan Siegle of Mineapolis, Paul Forjan of Dyer, Indiana and Ellen Forjan of Dyer, Indiana and many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Barbara Wedding, Bill Norman, Johanna Miller, Dorothy Noble, Ted Norman and Sam Norman.
Due to covid-19 a memorial service will be held at later date.
