Everett Allen Phillips, 92, died at 11:22 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Jersey Nursing & Rehab. in Jerseyville. Born June 16, 1920 in Berdan, IL, he was the son of Herman and Laura (Book) Phillips. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He retired from Olin Brass as a mold tender in 1982 after 42 ½ years of service. On January 2, 1941 in Troy, MO, he married the former Alta Mae Moore. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2011. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Larry Voumard of Alton, a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Linda Phillips of Godfrey, six grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and two sisters, Rosemary Camerer of White Hall, and Eula Voyles of Huntsville, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three brothers, Junior, Truman, and Howard Phillips. Per his wishes, services will be private.
