Erma Jenkins, 96, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at her home.
Born March 3, 1917 in Cowden, Ill., she was a daughter of Harry Arthur and Violet Evelyna (Harmond) Miller.
She married Harold “Pat” Jenkins in 1944 in Vandalia, Ill. He preceded her in death on Apr. 1, 1988.
She retired in 1970 from Western Cartridge in East Alton. Erma was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the South Roxana Dad’s Club, and also a member of the Wood River VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters in law, Dale Eugene and Linda Pauley of Meadowbrook and William Arthur and Jeanette Pauley of Alton; many grandchildren; great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, George Pauley; a granddaughter, Tracy Ryals; step son, Jimmie Jenkins; brothers, Charles, Roy and Fred Miller; and sisters, Ina Mae Hinton, Dorothy Nance and Bessie Stucker.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at Paynic Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dan Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
