Eric Lee King, 42, formerly of Jerseyville, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on September 8, 1969 in Carlinville, Illinos the son of Jerry T. and Carol (Gibson) King. Survivors include his father and step - mother: Jerry T. and Alice King of Jerseyville, Illinois, his mother and step - father: Carol and Ronald Lundahl of Girard, Illinois, one sister: Tracy Lynn of Portland, Oregon, one brother and sister in law: Brad and Shannon king of Jerseyville, three step -sisters and their spouses: Cathy and Douglas Gilman, Gina and Al Robinson, Brenda and Tom Horn, two step - brothers and their spouses: Jeff and Colleen Lundahl, Larry and Christina Lundahl, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was an ASE certified mechanic. He was formerly employed at Olin Corp. as an operator. He enjoyed fishing, computers, and guns. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and one uncle: Charles King.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the funeral home. Rev. Douglas Haynes will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Eldred Cemetery in Eldred, Illinois.
