Emial Amelious "Junior" Tolbert Jr., 88, died at 10:35 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville.He was born near Hamburg, Il on June 25, 1924, one of nine children born to the late Emial A. & Irene (Kaiser) Tolbert Sr.He grew up in Calhoun County, and moved to Carrollton shortly after his marriage to the former Margaret Louise Reynolds.  They were married on June 1, 1947 at the Assembly of God Church in Carrollton, and together they shared nearly 45 years together before her death on Apr. 27, 1992.Junior started out as an automobile mechanic, and later began working at Southside Hardware and retired from Wildhagen Hardware both in Carrollton after 25 years of service.He loved his entire family, and was a staunch supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.Surviving are two daughters & a son in law, Loretta & Ed Caskey of White Hall and Rhonda Perdun of Jerseyville; a grandson & his wife, Jeff & Janet Caskey of New Berlin; one great grandson, Chase Caskey; three step great granddaughters; one step great great granddaughter; three brothers & sisters in law, Harry & Patsy Tolbert of Jerseyville, Jesse & Bonnie Tolbert of Hamburg, Ray & Patty Tolbert of Roxana; two sisters, Marguerite Foster of Hamburg, ad Myrtle Fredenberg of Shipman.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ginger Perdun on Oct. 4, 1995; a son in law, Gary Perdun of June 29, 2009; a brother, Lee Tolbert and two sisters, Ruth Webster and Martha Gordon.Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Assembly of God Church in Carrollton where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday.  Rev. Scott Wade and Rev. Terry Turner will officiate.Burial will be in the Eldred Memorial Gardens .Memorials may be given to the Assembly of God Church in Carrollton or to the Jerseyville Estates.Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville is in charge of the arrangements.
