Ella Mae Weller, 81, died at 1:37 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at University Nursing and Rehab in Edwardsville.She was born August 30, 1932 in East Alton, the daughter of Henry and Mae (Nixon) Jennings.She married Ronald D. Weller on January 20, 1951 at the East Alton First United Methodist Church.Ella Mae was a 1950 graduate of East Alton-Wood River High School.  She worked for Illinois Insurance Agency in East Alton for approximately 25 years.  She then worked with her husband until his death on Decemeber 25, 1995 in their business, "R.D. Weller Security and Alarm".  She continued running the business until the sale of it in 2009.She is survived by her daughter, Susan Christine (Phillip) Gaskill; two grandsons, Damien Springman and Nicholas Springman all of East Alton; Jessica Guzman, a friend of Damien; two sisters, Myra and Judy Jennings, both of East Alton; two nieces, Gail (Ward) Clark of Hampton, Ontario, Canada, Mona Weller of Ft. Meyers, FL, nephew, Paul (Jo) Weller of Lees Summit, MO; great-nephew, Wade Clark of South Hampton, Ontario, Canada; great niece, Sara (Greg) Wiebe of Willbank, Ontatrio, Canada; a gret-great nephew, Conner Wiebe; brother-in-law, Melvin "Jack" (Londa) Weller; sister-in-law, Kathryn Shoemaker of Laverne, CA; and several nieces and nephews.Ella Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Lois Weller; brother-in-law, F. Dale Weller.A memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 26,  at the East Alton First United Methodist Church.  Rev. Bill Pyatt will officiate.Private interment will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.Memorials may be made to the East Alton First United Methodist Church , where she had been a member.Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
