Elizabeth Josephine Lott, 87, died at 4:14 a.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for just over a week.She was born in Columbus Junction, Iowa on Aug. 5, 1924, one of ten children born to the late Frank & Bonnie B. (Hopkins) Boulton.She married Samuel Lott on May 1, 1942 in Mediapolis, Iowa, and for the majority of their married life, they resided in Jersey County on Richey Hollow Road, where she and Sam raised their family of ten children.  She loved to entertain and spend time with her family and friends, and was an avid gardener.  Elizabeth and Sam shared 52 years together before his death on Jan. 25, 1995.Surviving are three daughters & sons in law, E. Irene & Bob Lacy of Fieldon, Robin & Larry Bridgeforth of Seaside, Ca., and Annette & Brian Shunskis of Alaska; seven sons & daughters in law, Cleo & Joetta Lott of Jerseyville, Warren & Debbie Lott of Carlinville, Richard & Connie Lott, Roger & Jeannie Lott, Ralph & Bev Lott, Ronnie & Theresa Lott, and Leland & Sue Lott all of Jerseyville; 25 Grandchildren; 32 Great Grandchildren; and five sisters, Shirley, Peggy, Hilda, Anna, and Bonnie.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Donald, Max and Jim Boulton; and a granddaughter, Tina Lott.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. Saturday until time of funeral services at 10 a.m. at the First Assembly of God in Jerseyville, with Rev. Larry Hayes officiating.Burial will be in the Grimes-Neeley Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to the First Assembly of God or to the Grimes-Neeley Cemetery both in Jerseyville.
