Elizabeth Anne (Dierking) Hunter, 66, died at 10:01 a.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the scene of a one vehicle accident on McClusky Road in Jersey County.She was born in Alton on Nov. 30, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Nolan & Myra (Fitzpatrick) Dierking.A homemaker, Anne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a longtime member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville.She married Marvis Hunter on Feb. 10, 1973 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville, and together they shared 22 years together before his death on Aug. 3, 1995.Surviving are a daughter, Christina Hunter, and her fiance' Cliff of St. Charles, Mo.; two grandchildren, Mathew & Lee both of St. Charles; two brothers & sisters in law, Joe & Connie Dierking of Jerseyville and Pat & Lynn Dierking of Alton; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Harry Nolan Hunter on June 26, 2008; two sisters, Mary Scoggins & Margaret Davies; and two brothers, John Francis Dierking Sr. and James Dierking.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., Monday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with Father Patrick Gibbons officiating.Burial will be in the Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.Memorials may be given to the St. Francis/Holy Ghost Catholic Schools of Jerseyville or to the American Diabetes Association.
