Elaine L. Caldwell received her wings on January 25, 2022 She was 82 years old.
She was born on June 28, 1939, in Alton, Illinois. She was the youngest born of 6 Children of Birdie Mae Bludso and Willie Taylor. Elaine received her education in Alton Public School, She was active in the community for many years. She was a faithful Member of St. James Baptist Church until the time she fell ill. She married the late Lawrence Caldwell Sr., out of that union were 3 children, Vincent Caldwell, Diane Caldwell, and Mona (Patsy) Caldwell Woods.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was proceeded in death by her Daughter Mona (Patsy) Caldwell Woods, Daughter in Law Mary Caldwell, her Sister Vernice (Polly) Mack, Brothers Arthur Ray Taylor, Johnny Taylor, Earnest Taylor, and Bobby Taylor.
She leaves a Son Vincent Caldwell and Daughter Diane Caldwell, Special Niece Renee Ackerson of Fort Wayne Louisiana as well as 9 Grand Children, 5 Great Grand Children and a host of nieces, nephews and many family and friends that Miss and Love her for all that she has added to our lives,
We will all Cherish her memory, We are all Blessed to have shared your life Elaine you are truly and sorely missed.
A Memorial service celebrating her life will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Greater St. James Baptist Church 2016 Belle Street Alton, IL 62002.
