Edward Sinnott, 78, died at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at La Bella of Alton. He was born May 8, 1946 in Orange, NJ the son of the late Edward and Lioba (Tracy) Sinnott. Edward was a probation officer for many years with the Essex County Probation Office in East Orange, NJ. Surviving is one brother, Paul Sinnott of Moro, IL. He also leaves his sisters-in-law Holly Sinnott, Janet Sinnott, his niece, Tracy Comer and husband Shawn and nephews Thomas and Joseph Sinnott and wife Becky. He also leaves his great nephews Aiden, Erik, Ian, Michael, Anthony, and Nicholas and his great niece Maria. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, George Sinnott.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. A mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Father Jorge Sanche, OMV will officiate.
