Edward George Mook

Edward George Mook, 90, died at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehab. 

Born July 20, 1920 in Alton, he was the son of Emil and Lottie (Snively) Mook.  Mr. Mook served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Field Artillery.  He owned an auto glass business for 30 years and Mooks Arts and Crafts for several years and enjoyed duck hunting. 

In 1941 in North Little Rock, Arkansas, he married the former Doris Gary.  She survives.  Also surviving are two sons, Gary Mook of Alton and Mal Mook of Brighton, 10 grandchildren Elizabeth Mellenthin, Deborah Hood, Christine Certa, Susan Frasier, Rachel Mook, Jolynne Sumpter, Samuel Mook, John Mook, Andrew Long and Geoffrey Long and eight great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ronda Long in 1998 and his sister, Virginia Berezin. 

There will be no services.
