Edna Thompson-Rennaux

Edna R. Thompson-Rennaux, passed away at 10:00 am Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at her residence with her family by her side.

She was born in Alton, the daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Lovell) Dunnagan.

She married Charles Thompson in April 1949, and he preceded her in death in September of 1977. She then married Glenn Rennaux in October of 1980 and he preceded her in death in 1994.

Edna lived in the East Alton/Alton area most of her life working at the Olin Corporation as a machine operator.

She is survived by two daughters and their spouses: Beverly and Terry Hill of East Alton, and Karen and Ray Elliott of Wood River; one son: Stanley Thompson of East Alton; one grand daughter and her husband: Carlotta and Spouse Jim Roady; three great-grandchildren Jenesa Maggart, Branden and Ian Roady; one sister Vera Maxine Lynn; and two nephews: Gentry Dunnagan and Leonard Lynn.

In addition to her parents and husbands, She was preceded in death by one son Roger and one daughter Betty; and two brothers: Gentry and Melvin Rudolph Dunnagan.

A visitation will be held on Saturday July 16, 2011 from 10 am until time of Funeral Service at 1 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Rev. Tim Keller will be officiating.

Burial will follow at Fosterburg Cemetery.
