Edith A. Krimm, 87, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 3:14am at Provision Living in Godfrey, IL.
She was born April 23, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Merte) Jantz.
On November 24, 1944 she married Edward A. Krimm in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2000.
She graduated from Ludington High School in Michigan. She was retired from Sears, Roebuck & Company in 1989. She was a member of St. Ambrose Parish in Godfrey.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen (Nick) Bowman of Godfrey; two grandchildren, Brian Bowman of Florissant, MO and Laura Bowman of St. Charles, MO and her fiancé Thomas VanDusen; one great grandson, Joseph Bowman of Godfrey; two brothers and spouse, Leroy Jantz and Elmer (Jeanette) Jantz of Detroit, MI; and a sister, Ruth Werner of Aliso Viejo, CA.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Otto Merte.
Visitation will be 4 pm to 8 pm, Friday June 8, 2012 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 am, Saturday June 9, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. Father Steve Pohlman will officiate.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey.
