Dorothy M. Patton, 86, passed away at 6:50 am, Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton, IL.
She was born in Fieldon, IL on June 18, 1926 the daughter of the late William and Eva (Slusher) Seehausen.
She married James H. Patton in Morganfield, KY on May 28, 1949. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2006.
Dorothy and her husband owned and operated Patton Siding and Windows for 12 years. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She enjoyed painting, drawing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Denise Palmer of Foley, AL, Rebecca and her spouse Pary Moyers of Alton; two sons and their spouses, Donald and Beverly Patton of Harrisburg, IL, David and Mary Patton of Godfrey; eight grandchildren, Marie Palmer, Devin and Deanna Patton, Heather Ballard, Shannon Patton, Jeff Mullins, Kimberly Woods, Wendy Teare and one sister-in-law, Geneva Seehausen of Fieldon, IL.
In addition to her parents and husband, James, she was preceded in death by one sister, Leola Little and two brothers, Stanley Seehausen and Wilbur Seehausen.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
In celebration of her life, a Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am on Friday, February 8, 2013 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey with Father Steve Pohlman as celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey, IL.
