Dorothy Jean Crabtree, passed away at 12:55 p.m, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the residence of her daughter and son in law.
She was born on March 9, 1930, in Alton, IL, to the late William & Marie (Hechler) Stone.
Dorothy was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a lifetime member of College Ave Presbyterian Church in Alton.
She is survived by a daughter Edith Crabtree and her husband Terry Kingery of Lebanon, MO, one grandson Joshua Grimsley, and one sister Anna Louise Norman of Godfrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Claire Marie Purcell and two brothers William Stone and Aruther in infancy.
Our daughter and son in law and grandson, sister and numerous nieces and nephews will miss her terribly.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL.
Funeral services will be at 10 am on Thursday, February 17, 2011, at the College Ave. Presbyterian Church in Alton, with Pastor Janet Riley officiating.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, IL.
