Dorothy “Dottye” Louise Bode, 86, passed away at 10:09 am Monday, September 19, 2011 at the United Methodist Village in Godfrey with her family by her side.
She was born on April 16, 1925 in Elvins, MO the daughter of Lloyd & Anna (Hulsey) Morice.
Dottye was employed as a Registered Nurse for the Alton Mental Health Center for 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, fishing and being with her children and grandchildren at their activities.
She is survived by her son, Gregory Bode of Anthem AZ; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gayla & Randall Prater of Godfrey and Gina Bode and husband Bruce Randall of Phoenix, AZ; eight grandchildren, Cameron and Melissa Bode, Valarie St. Germain, Jared, Olivia and Jayden Prater, Ian Bode and Jolie Delja; seven great grandchildren, Mikalya and Madeline Bode, Serra, Charles, and Theodore Delja and Taryn and Levi St. Germain and many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, William Morice.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 22, 2011 with Rev. Philippe St. Germain officiating.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in Godfrey.
