Dorothy “Dolly” Wickenhauser, 87, peacefully passed away at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the United Methodist Village.
Born November 14, 1930 in Alton, she was the daughter of Leo F. and Ann L. (Chaffer) Joehl. On June 27, 1950 she married Gene B. Wickenhauser at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2009.
Mrs. Wickenhauser was a homemaker and a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. Surviving are two daughters, Jeanie Stratton of Godfrey and Nancy Hoefert (Jim) of Godfrey, one son, Mark Wickenhauser (Kirstin Schulz) of Alton, a grandson, Ryan Hoefert (Lauren) of Godfrey, two great grandchildren, Jackson and Emerson Hoefert. Also surviving is a brother, Jim Joehl (Juanita) of Atlanta, GA, brothers-in-law, Richard Wickenhauser, Father Jerry Wickenhauser, and Jim Wickenhauser (Linda) all of Godfrey and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Chuck Stratton and two brothers-in-law, Joseph and Edward Wickenhauser.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2018 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. Father Steven Janoski will officiate. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the Marynoll Fathers and Marquette Catholic High School.
