Doris Maxine Grohman, 81, a resident of The Fountains IV in Godfrey, died at her home on Sunday, January 23, 2011.
The daughter of Maggie and Abner Morton, she was born on July 11, 1929 in Redford, Mo.
On July 16, 1949, in St. Louis, she married Leo L. Grohman, who preceded her in death.
Maxine was a licensed beautician, worked at the St. Louis Pretzel Company, Owens- Illinois and cleaned homes in the Rosewood Heights area.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Michael and Pam Grohman of Kokomo, Indiana and Kathy and Patrick Murphy of Edwardsville; and two grandchildren, Vanessa M. Grohman and Cody T. Murphy.
Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Wednesday at Paynic Home for Funerals, Rosewood Heights. The Rev. Kenneth Clark will officiate at services at 10:00 am Thursday, January 27, at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
