Doris Larue Huff, 85, of Bethalto passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton.
She was born March 23, 1928 in Alton to Frank and Lela (Ballard) Broche.
She married Jewett R. Huff September 21, 1946 in Bethalto. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Bethalto.
She is survived by a daughter Virginia L. Hill of Green Bay, WI; two sons, Leon “Ross” (Patricia) of Bethalto and Brian D. (Susan) Huff of Bethalto; five grandchildren, Beth Derozier of Green Bay, WI; Leah Mashl of Des Perre, WI; Adam Huff of Wood River; Phillip Huff of Hamel and Hannah Huff of Urbana, IL; seven great grandchildren and a sister and brother in law, Susan and Maurice Sheff of Rosewood Heights.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Jane Fairless and half-brother Carl Guthrie.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 .
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials can be made to 1st Baptist Church of Bethalto building fund.
