Doris Christine "Chris" Cavins, 86, of Benld, IL, died at Gillespie Health and Rehab Center, Gillespie, IL on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 5:13 a.m.
She was born August 20, 1938 in Kentucky to Othor Grace & Katie Fork Grace.
She married Paul Cavins on May 16, 1954 in Granite City, IL. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2022.
She was a shop keeper for Country Corner. Doris enjoyed crafting, shopping at thrift stores, decorating, putting together puzzles, and her children.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Susan) Cavins of Benld, IL, Shari (Robert) Ferry of Benld, IL, Becky (Charles Jr) Voyles of Glen Carbon, IL, grandchildren, Cyndy (Josh) Bray, Nathan Ferry, Joshua Voyles, Wendy (Lee) Harrison, Abigail (Zachary) Parker, great-grandchildren, Megan Bray, Hanna Bray, McKinzie Voyles, Callen Harrison, Lana Harrison, Connor Voyles, Dawson Voyles.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents and spouse.
Friends may call on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Kravanya Funeral Home, Benld from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Funeral services are Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 12 p.m. at Kravanya Funeral Home, Benld. Burial will be at Benld Cemetery, Benld, IL.
