Donnie "Don" G. Tucker

Donnie “Don” G. Tucker, 77, went to be with the Lord at 3:33 pm Saturday, May 7, 2011 at St. Luke’s West Hospital in Chesterfield, MO. 

He was born on March 4, 1934 in Dale IL, the son of the late George Edward Tucker and Grace (Wheeler) Tucker who survives in Murray, KY.

He married Rosalie (Grant) Tucker on September 22, 1952 in Broughton, IL. She survives.

Don was employed at Ford Motor Co. for 16 years retiring as a supervisor in 1982.  He was a devoted member of the Bethalto Church of God.  He loved to fish, golf, meet and talk to new people and spend time at his church with his family and friends.

He is survived by four children and their spouses, David “Tuck” & Kay Tucker of Cottage Hills, George & Mary Tucker of Bethalto, Janet & Dennis Cloninger of Bethalto and Vernon Tucker of East Alton; five grandchildren and their spouses, Lesa & Chris Shirley, Kevin Cloninger, Chad Cloninger, Jessica & Bradley Phillips and Joey Tucker; four great grandchildren, Brayden, Grant, Aiden and Landon; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Melva Loveridge of Murray, KY, Elva & Dan Walker of Murray, KY, and Diane Walker of Evansville, IN and several nieces and nephews.

His father precedes him in death.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Bethalto Church of God. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Bethalto Church of God with Rev. Jeremy Robinson  and Rev. Tim Campbell officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Bethalto Church of God Debt Retirement.
