Donna Lee (Ehrhart) Martin, 45, died at 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at her residence after a battle with colon cancer.
She was born in St. Louis, Mo. on Aug. 21, 1965, one of two daughters born to Ralph D. & Genevieve (Leabig) Ehrhart.
Her early years were spent in the St. Louis area, until the family relocated to Jersey County in 1981, where Donna graduated from Jesey Community High School with the class of 1983.
For many years Donna was a homemaker, and later began working outside of the home. She began working at Harrah's Casino in Bridgeton, MO. as a cage cashier, and through the years worked her way up, where she currently was an executive casino hostess.
Donna truly found joy in her time with Harrah's and considered it to be her dream job.
Surviving are her parents, Ralph & Genevieve Ehrhart of Jerseyville; a son, Justin A. Martin of Jerseyville; a grandson, Alex Martin of Jerseyville; a sister & brother in law, Michelle (Ehrhart) and David McFerran of Moro; and Emilee McCollum, the mother of her grandson, of Jerseyville.
Memorial visitation will be conducted from 4 p.m. Monday until time of memorial services at 7 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be given to the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO.
