Donna Lynn (Ament) Dirksmeyer, 75, gained her angel wings at 4:04 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2025 at Jersey Community Hospital with her loved ones by her side.
Donna was born in Alton, Illinois on November 23, 1949 to the late Theodore Ament and Violet Fisher.
Donna married the love of her life, Leslie Ray Dirksmeyer on February 16, 1971 in Dow, Illinois. Together they were the parents of three daughters, Shantel, Tammy and Connie.
Donna was always the life of the part and had a contagious kind of love that melted the hearts of all who met and knew her.
Donna is survived by her three daughters, Shantel (Tim) Woolsey, Tammy Lyming and Connie Dirksmeyer; grandchildren, Dain (Katie) Dirksmeyer-Lyming, Corrina Lyming, Adam Woolsey, Dustin Woolsey, Tyler Dirksmeyer, Trevor Tucker and Tank Tucker; great grandchildren, Eric, Emma, Ellie and Eryn Dirksmeyer-Lyming; along with her other adopted grandchildren along the way.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie on April 8, 2014; two sisters, Edith Critchfield Sims and Sharon Teney; as well as a brother, Michael Ament.
Per Donna’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville has been entrusted with arrangements.
