Donald Raymond Goheen, 78, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born June 14, 1945 in Alton, he was the son of Harry S. and Verna (Miller) Goheen.
A U.S. Marine Corps, Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient, he had been employed at the Olin Corporation for 41 years before retiring as a group leader.
On May 17, 1975 in Wood River, he married Patricia Ann Williams. She survives.
Surviving also are two sons, Rudy (Pamela) Goheen of Cottage Hills, Donald B. (Marta) Goheen of Merifee, CA; three daughters, Vicki (Skip) Steward of Moro, Lisa (Jeremy) Lile of Godfrey, Melisa Goheen of Granite City; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Terry (Faye) Goheen of Cottage Hills; and a sister, Joy "Sis" Hendy of Jerseyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Danny Harris; and brother, Henry "Dutch" Goheen.
Visitation will be from 11 am until time of service at 12:30 pm, Monday, December 11 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Luke Lile will officiate.
Burial will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will military honors.
