Donald Curtis Dubree, age 67, of Godfrey, died Thursday, June 19, at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur, Missouri. He was born October 16, 1957 in Alton, Illinois to Robert LeRoy and Elnora (Haws) Dubree, both of whom preceded him in death. On November 27, 1984, in the L.D.S. temple in Washington D.C., he married Darlene Marie Henkey, who survives him.

Don graduated from Civic Memorial High School in Bethalto, and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from S.I.U.E. He worked as a salesman for Encyclopedia Britannica, salesman and district manager at Monroe Systems for Business, and part owner of D and G Enterprises.

Don was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a missionary in the Munich Germany Mission for two years. He held many church callings including twice being Bishop of the Alton Ward. He loved gardening, tending the animals on his small farm, Cardinals Baseball, Blues Hockey, and spending time with his grandsons.

Survivors are daughter Kelly (Cody) Leaders, grandsons Lucas, Connor, Bennett, and Tatum, and brother Rusty Dubree, along with cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Cremation provided by Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf of Godfrey. Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 5 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6500 Humbert Road in Godfrey at 10:00 am.
