Dolores Coatney

Dolores F. Coatney, 80, passed away at 2:29 pm on Tuesday March 1, 2016 at Alton Memorial Hospital.She was born on October 21, 1935 the daughter of the late Claude and Gertrude (Perkins) Logan.Dolores married the late Maurice F. Coatney on June 21, 1968 in Alton. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2012.She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, decorationg cakes, painting, and sewing.  She was an avid Wheel of Fortune watcher and also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.  She is survived six children and their spouses, John Gwillim of Godfrey, Sharon Gwillim of Hamburg, Susan Yost (David) of Gillespie, Jeff Coatney of Portland, OR, Reneigh DeBoer (Menno) of St. Louis, and Ken Coatney of Cleveland, OH; thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a brother Claude Logan of Cottage Hills.In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother Gene Logan and a sister Louise Crane.Visitation will be Friday March 4, 2016 from 10 am until time of funeral service noon at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.Burial will follow at the Bunker Hill Cemetery in Bunker Hill.In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton are in charge of Arrangements.Online condolences & guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
