Dolly Jean Fry, 88, formerly of East Alton, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at her daughter's home. She peacefully exited this world and entered the Kingdom of God to live eternally in His presence.  She is now restored and dancing with her groom, Jesus.

Born on  May 4, 1928 in Ferguson, MO, she was the daughter of James T. and Agnes R. (Goshen) Wilson.

For 20 years, she co-owned the Western Auto store in Wood River; and co-owned and operated Fryco Rental Management for 20 years.

Dolly Jean was a longtime member of the Wood River Garden Club and Zonta Club of Alton-Wood River.

On October 15, 1948 in Ferguson, she married Norman P. Fry, who died on May 29, 1999 after 50+ years of marriage.

Surviving are a son, Richard (Ruth) Fry of Eldon, MO; daughters, Gail (Roger) Davis of Fenton, MO, Donnah Wilson of Acworth, GA; nine grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Jack Wilson; sister, Esther R. Crook; and son-in-law, Larry Wilson.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m until time of service at 12 p.m. Friday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Jonathan Young will officiate.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to the Gateway Area Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1867 Lackland Hill Pkwy., St. Louis, MO  63146.
