Diana L. Kasinger, 66 Entered Heaven Thursday 11/30/2023 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton. Born August 23, 1957 in St. Louis, MO. She was the daughter of the late John and Estella (Biermann) Smith. She married Jeffrey W. Kasinger September 16, 1989 in Godfrey, IL. He survives. Son of Harold (Glen) and Wanda Kasinger of Alton, IL. Diana is survived by her sister Dawn (Dave) Neptune of St. Louis, MO. Her 4 children, Sons Michael Smith of Godfrey, IL. Bradley Cohlman of Roxana, IL. Daughters Melinda (Lanard) Cook of Lebanon, IL. Jessica (Jacob) Jones of Godfrey, IL and four grandchildren Joseph Wocking, Autumn Cook, Alexander Cook and Aidan Cohman, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and good friends. She was preceded in death by parents John and Estella (Biermann) Smith, Sister Judy (Richard) Wolf, brother Terry Smith and Grandson Thomas Cook, father in-law Harold G. Kasinger. Diana enjoyed her life long career in Health Care as a Certified Nurses Aid. She always had the greatest work ethics and went above and beyond to ensure that her clients got the best of her strengths and compassion. She would do anything for clients but most of all gave them her time and friendship. Helping people was one of her greatest passions. She loved to crochet, sew, read, watch movies with her cat Kali sitting on her lap, and listening to music. You cannot forget the Teddy Bears! Above all, Diana's greatest joy was her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Although she will be deeply missed, we can be assured she will be Eternally In Our Hearts Until We Meet Again. A Celebration of Life will be held after the first of the New Year 2024 at Godfrey Church of the Nazarene 1800 W. Delmar St., Godfrey, IL 62035. Pastor Greg Breeden will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Godfrey Church of the Nazarene, Disabled American Veterans or American Breast Cancer Foundation.
