Dennis Ray Martin Sr., of Mount Olive, IL, died at his residence on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
He was born on October 8, 1943 in Madison, IL to Clois Martin and Catherine Mayokpet Martin. Dennis married Tammy L Mathis Martin at the United Methodist Church in Granite City, IL.
Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting and football. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines from 1960-1964. Dennis was retired after having been a supervisor for Nestlé.
Dennis is survived by his spouse, Tammy Martin of Mt. Olive, IL, children, Dennis Martin Jr (Trisha) of Granite City, IL, Kim Allen ( Shawn) of Sandwich, IL, Michele Owen (Terry) of Shawnee, OK, grandchildren: Tawni Martin of Granite City, IL, Tori Martin of Baldwin, MO, Dillan Martin of Granite City, IL, Brooke Golden of St Louis MO, Heather Golden of Denver, CO, Tiera Owen of Shawnee, OK, great grandchildren, Brayden Martin, Peyton Hand, AuBree Hand, Penelope Ashby, brother, Pat Martin (Teresa) of Collinsville, IL, brothers in law, Keith Mathis of Georgia, Scott Mathis of Mt. Olive, IL, Greg (Karen) Mathis of Godfrey, IL, Tracy (Jill) Mathis of Denver, CO, Dan Mathis ( Beth) of Staunton, IL, sister-in-law, Mary Martin of Collinsville, IL, 9 nephews & 9 nieces including Lauren Mathis, Emma Mathis and Lillie Mathis who he had a special relationship with.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Martin.
