Delores Jean Mauldin, 93, of Belleville, IL, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025. She was born to the late Bertha “Bert” Lowman, who, along with Fred Lowman, lovingly raised her.
Delores lived a full life defined by love, strength, and devotion to her family. She was also deeply committed to serving her community. After more than 30 years as a manager in retail sales, Delores worked tirelessly at the local hospital, offering comfort and support to patients and families in need. She was an active member of the Moose Lodge, where she contributed to numerous charitable initiatives and built lasting friendships. One of her fondest memories was her time with the “Red Hatters.”
Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched countless lives, and her hard work and dedication to service inspired everyone who knew her.
Delores was predeceased by her siblings, Ray Bright and Marvin Mreen, and her beloved daughter, Linda Mauldin and daughter-in-law, Denise Mauldin.
Delores is survived by her loving children, Brenda Swain, Stephen Mauldin, and Julie Mauldin, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and resilience. She was a proud grandmother (Maw Maw) to Noel, Evan (Ginny), Cortney (Dana), Kristine, Cara (Kari), and Ashley (Brittin). Her joy multiplied through her great-grandchildren: Amelia, Alexandra, Brendon, Colin, Kai, and Kade, each of whom she adored and treasured.
A celebration of Delores’ remarkable life will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
This will be an informal visitation, and all are welcome.
Her legacy of love and community will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
