Delia Elizabeth Fader, 10, died at 11:23 a.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO after her courageous 11 month battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Born April 27, 2003 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Scott A. and Jamie M. (Wagner) Fader of Alton. Along with her parents she is survived by her sister, Naomi Fader of Alton, maternal grandparents, Donald and Margaret “Peggy” Wagner of Alton, paternal grandparents, C. William “Bill” and Harriet Fader of Wentzville, MO, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Delia was a beautiful girl who brought joy to many with her tenacious spirit and heartwarming smile. She was compassionate and always thought of others. Delia enjoyed art, dance, and making books. Delia loved animals and spending time outdoors. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013. Memorials may be made to St. Baldrick’s or Alex’s Lemonade Stand both of which are for children’s cancer research. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
