Delbert Alvin Redmon

Delbert Alvin Redmon, 93, passed away at 9:00 am Monday, July 4, 2016 at Robbings Manor in Brighton.He was born on January 25, 1923 in Maldin, MO, the son of Joseph and Margaret (White) Redmon.Delbert married Margie Lucas on April 6, 1944 at Maldin, MO. He worked as a fork lift driver in the wire mill at Laclede Steel for 31 years.Delbert enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends.He is survived by three children, Ruth Dial of Cottage Hills, Michael Redmon of Bunker Hill, Kenneth Redmon of Cottage Hills; nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and two brothers, James Redmon of Cottage Hills, and Ralph Redmon of Alabama.He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margie, one son James Redmon, five sisters Nellie Wilmith, Stella Elsworth, Mary Shelton, Marie Stonecipher, and Flossy Lee, and two brothers, Earnest and Hughie Redmon.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Funeral services will be at 10 am on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Bethalto Church of God.Burial will follow at Short Cemetery in Cottage Hills.Memorials may be made to the funeral home for expenses.Online condolences and guestbook may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
