Deborah Stumpf

Batchtown |

Deborah Jean Stumpf, 55, died peacefully at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO, on May 23, after a short illness. Deborah was known to be a very generous person. Upon her passing as in her daily life, Deborah continued this generosity as she gave the gift of life and vision through organ and tissue donation.

Deb was born on May 5, 1970, to Eugene Jerome Stumpf (deceased) and Rose Ellen (Smith) Stumpf of Batchtown, IL.

She is survived by her mother, Rose of Bathctown; her sister Paula (Gene) Howell of Jerseyville and her brother, Jerry (Amy Johnson) Stumpf of Batchtown; and 8 nephews and 2 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father Gene Stumpf; her beloved nephew, Dylan Howell; paternal grandparents, Jerome Stumpf and Wilmas (Weishaupt) Krysl; and maternal grandparents William and Wilma (Heck) Smith.

Deb was the ultimate lover of cats. She even got used to us calling her “The Crazy Cat Lady”. She was excellent at counted cross stich, crocheting, and cooking. She worked at Walmart for 20 years. She loved playing trivia and was her team’s music and tv guru. Any time spent with her family and friends was special.
