Deborah Kay Palmer passed away peacefully Sat. March 15, 2025 at Evercare of Jerseyville surrounded by her family. 

Deborah was a person of many talents. She loved to sing, make jewelry, and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Deborah Kay Palmer was born to Verlin Ruth Elliott and Charles Pool on September 9, 1951. Deborah enjoyed going to church and serving the Lord at Tri-County 1st Pentecostal Church.  She loved music and had been a member in “Country Swingers”. 

In her lifetime she was blessed with 3 children: Dawn (Joseph) Hart, Amanda (Robert) Dodson, and Michael (Marina) Pool. Deborah was blessed with 3 step-children: Miranda (Eli) Tellor, Allen Barr, and Ricky Barr.

She loved everyone so much and had a pure heart of gold. She always took care of others before herself.

Deborah was blessed with 6 grandchildren: Robert Dodson II, Deborah Dodson-Engler, Jason Dodson Jr., Mandy (Patrick) Flieger, Sandy (Leif) Hart , Joseph Hart II, and Jada Pool. She had many adopted grandchildren: Ryan Barr, Skylar Barr, Aden Westfall, and Kynleigh Tellor. Deborah had 4 great-grandchildren: Mary, Aurora, Marcellus, and Kohen. 

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; stepson: Ricky Barr, her late husband Irvin Eugene Barr; and her adopted sister: Sandy Gibson. She is survived by her 3 children, and grandchildren, 2 adopted sisters: Diane and Peggy. She was loved by people.

The family will hold a Celebration of Deborah’s life at a later date.
