Deborah L. Brandt, age 68, of Overland, MO, died Sunday, September 19, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.
She was born on Wednesday, January 14, 1953, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of William and Phyliss (nee Lundskow) Brandt.
Deborah was born in Rock Island, IL, and grew up in Coal Valley, IL. She was a 1971 graduate of Moline High School and a 1974 graduate of Barnes College of Nursing in St. Louis. During her 36-year career in nursing, she worked at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Missouri Baptist, Home Health Agency, and retired as Nursing Supervisor at BJC West County Hospital in 2010. Deborah enjoyed her current dogs, Patches, and Sarah, as she did the others before them. She was very interested in archaeology. She loved to read and still had her collection of Hardy Boys books. She enjoyed watching the hummingbirds outdoors, reading murder mysteries, and playing the organ.
Survivors include: Brother - Steven M. (Julie) Brandt, Oneida, IL; Brother - William Eugene Brandt, Jr., Moscow Mills, MO; Many Nieces and Nephews; A Best Friend - Christine A. Mahoney, Overland, MO.
She was preceded in death by: Father - William Eugene Brandt, Sr. - Died 2/16/1986; Mother - Phyliss Adde Brandt (nee Lundskow) - Died 4/18/1995.
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Private Family Service at a later date.
Interment will be at Coal Valley Township Cemetery in Coal Valley, IL.
