David Walter Yeend, 73, went home to be with Jesus at 5:03 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in Godfrey.
He was born October 9, 1951 in Chicago, IL the son of the late David and Claudine (Taylor) Yeend. He was a member of Parkview Christian Church of Orland Park, IL.
David retired in 2021 from the state of Illinois where he worked as a psychiatric nurse for over 25 years. On November 20, 1999 in Chicago, he married Judy Yen and she survives.
Also surviving are one son, Lucas Yeend of Orland Park, IL, two sisters, Robin Scott (Bill) of Petoskey, Michigan and Jacqueline Militzer (Paul) of Godfrey, two nephews, Billy D. Scott and Matt Militzer, and one niece, Star Militzer.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Parkview Christian Church, 11100 Orland Pkwy, Orland Park, IL, 60467, on Saturday, April 12 at 12:00 p.m., with a visitation preceding the service at 10:30 a.m.
