David E. Wiley, 67, of Jerseyville, Illinois, passed away on October 21, 2023, in Jerseyville, IL.
He was born on November 14, 1955, the son of Charles and Marilyn (Manwaring) Wiley in Alton, IL.
David proudly served his country in the Air Force. He had a deep love for spending time with his family, as well as enjoying activities such as riding motorcycles and horseback riding.
David married Katherine Proffer on May 10, 1975, in El Paso, Texas. Sadly, she preceded him in death on January 18, 2012.
David is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Misty Wiley (Thomas Thompson) of Jerseyville, IL; three granddaughters, Arabella and Ariana Klug, both of Brighton, and Lillyanna Thompson of Jerseyville; a brother, Charles Wiley of Alton; a sister, Vicky Ehlers of Bunker Hill; and another brother, John Wiley of Alton, IL.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Lewis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Monday October 30, 2023, at Brighton Cemetery.
Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Alton Area Animal Aid Association.
