David Lee Sweeney, 29, passed away 1:42 pm, Sunday, May 9, 2021 at his residence.
Born June 15, 1991 in Alton, he was the son of David A. Sweeney and the late Kelli A. Winchester.
Surviving are his father; maternal grandmother, Cynthia Winchester of Rosewood Heights; son, Brody Lee Sweeney and his mother, Alicia M. Pleasant; brother, Thomas Sweeny of East Alton; aunts, Laura (Johnny) Ward, Lee (Chad) Barrow; several cousins; and best friend, Ryne Leach.
He was preceded in death by his mother; maternal great grandmother, Mar Gold; paternal grandfather, David Winchester; and half-sister, Emalee Compton.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from4-6 pm, Thursday, May 13 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Memorials may be made to a Trust Fund established for his son, Brody Lee Sweeney.
