David “Dave” Allen McGee, 56, formerly of Wood River, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in Fort Mill, South Carolina. David was born in Washtenaw, Michigan, the son of the late Muriel Lee and Paula Idell (Hubbard) McGee. He married the former Jane Trotti in 2002, and she survives. Other survivors include three daughters and a son in law: Amber and Chad Crouch of St. Jacob, Illinois, Sabrina McGee of Wood River, Carrie Caldwell of Aiken, South Carolina, one son: Ben Butler of Aiken, South Carolina, seven grandchildren: Colby, Claire, Colin, Taylor, Tripp, Brandi, Randall, one brother and sister in law: Merle and Linda McGee of Spiceland, Indiana, two sisters and brothers in law: Rebecca and Steve Floerke of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Deborah and Dave Zukosky Collinsville, Illinois, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. David was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
Memorial visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm, on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Private inurnment will be at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
