David A. Lyons, 63, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011. Born Dec. 29, 1947 in Canton, Ill., he was a son of Ellsworth Lyons and Ferne (Painter) Buckley. His stepfather was Robert Buckley. A welder by trade, he worked for BD Metals in St. Louis. He married Sharon K. (Savage) Bock, and they later divorced. He married Susan L. Humke Sept. 12, 1986. She passed away Aug. 25, 2007.
Survivors include his children, Delilah K. Weber and her husband Ray of South Roxana, Kimberly Lyons of Alton and Jason Lyons and his wife Stacy of Bethalto; 9 grandchildren, Jessica, Kayla, Jeremy, Corey, Joshua, Christina, Kalyn, Kalli, and Baby Girl; 3 great grandchildren, Dashanique, Shakira, and Rihonna; two brothers and their wives, Earl and Rosie Lyons of Havana, Ill. and Frank and Kathy Lyons of Jackson, Wyo.; and two sisters, Penny Lyons of Peoria, Ill. and Agnes Lyons of Lubbock, Tex.
In addition to his wife Susie, he was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Daniel A. Lyons.
Visitation will be Monday, March 7 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights from 11 a.m. until services begin at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Dan Smith will officiate.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
